Nestled in the mountains only two hours from Tegucigalpa is the small village of Nuevo Paraiso.  This tiny village of 60 homes is a safe haven for children who are victims of extreme poverty and neglect.  Here, Sociedad Amigos de los Ninos helps them build their dream one step at a time.  With guidance, training, support and love these children thrive in a nurturing environment.  Nuevo Paraiso also provides the necessary education with a Kindergarden, Elementary School and High school for the valley.  The Gilmour Academy Project, twice a year, brings donated items (clothes, medicines, personal care items) for the children.  We also provide the man power to build anything that may help Sociedad in their work.  We have built homes, installed water lines, put up fences in the past.
