Currently, we are just a small club/organization at a local high school, made up of students who are passionate about the arts and who want to share their passion with others. We hope to make an impact in our community and expand our reach through getting others to become passionate about the arts.
We hope that those who participate in our workshops or receive our handmade gifts become inspired and start spreading their own “gifts of arts”. Our workshops are usually held at local libraries, hospitals, at at our school. They range from 1 to 4 hours, depending on the activity and time slot that we have. So far, we've done arts & crafts such as origami, crocheting, and knitting.
We recently had our 1st fundraiser in December during our school's ACE (Awareness, Compassion, Engagement) org Holiday Fair, where various community service clubs explained their cause and impact. We had a small table as our "booth" where we sold handmade hats and magazine paper bracelets (like the candy wrapper bracelets) and informed others about our club while fundraising for St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. More info on how we did can be found on our website below!
